Early next year, Cargill expects to begin using new handheld meat inspection devices
from eMerge Interactive at its Excel Corporation subsidiary. Seventeen VerifEYE
devices are on order from the beef processor. The device is about the size and
weight of a compact video camera and is expected to have broad application in
beef processing plants.
