Palermo Villa Inc. is expanding its headquarters and production facility in Milwaukee, WI. The project, managed by Miron Construction, will add 100,000 sq. ft. to the existing 135,000-sq.-ft. facility. The $22 million project is expected to create 56 jobs.


Frito Lay is finalizing plans for construction of a 50,000-sq.-ft. warehouse addition, a 50,000-sq.-ft. manufacturing building, an expanded wastewater treatment center, an office space and a new trucking access road in Dayville, CT. The $66 million project will enable the company to retain its 750-member workforce.


Construction of Baldinger’s Bakery’s new 144,000-sq.-ft. facility is underway in St. Paul, MN. The $30 million facility is expected to meet several LEED criteria, leading to certification.


Café Valley Bakery plans to open a 285,000-sq.-ft. facility in late fall, and is expected to create about 125 factory jobs. The $40 million project will modernize operations and consolidate four Phoenix, AZ locations into one building. The 20-year-old company makes wholesale bakery products.


U.S. Foodservice is expanding its Port Orange, FL food distribution center. Construction of the $33 million project is expected to be complete by July 2011. When finished, the company will close its nearby location and move its 330 employees to the new facility, which will have a combined workforce of more than 500.
