Available with 4- or 6-in. ports and connections, the Alfa Laval FrontLine Automatic sanitary plate heat exchanger has a capacity of 2,000 gpm for cheese milk pasteurizing and 800 gpm for milk pasteurizing. The unit is capable of 92% heat recovery at 570 gpm pasteurizing and 94% heat recovery at 450 gpm pasteurizing. The plates have a large pressing depth, few contact points and an even flow distribution. A programmable touch screen and control interface automatically open and close the unit to preset positions. The electrical drive system eliminates hydraulic oil. The control system can be reconfigured and allows communication with other equipment via a standard Ethernet connection.
