Marfrig Group announced it will reopen a cattle production facility in Pará state of Brazil’s North Region that has been idle since 2009. The facility has the capacity to process 1,000 heads of cattle per day. Marfrig Group also established a partnership with The Nature Conservancy (TNC) to contribute to environmental protection, sustainable cattle production and to increase the number of suppliers in the region. The groups will contribute technical resources to promote environmental legislation compliance and expand responsible production among producers in the Amazon.
