The Meat Industry Suppliers Alliance Foundation (MISAF)—part of the Food Processing Suppliers Association—raised more than $125,000 during the foundation banquet and auction held at the FPSA annual conference.  These funds are used to support the MISA Foundation's Scholarship Program for deserving students studying meat sciences at universities throughout North America.

“This year's event was truly exceptional with nice increases in both attendance and interest in the Foundation's mission,” says Tom Hoffmann, chairman of the MISA Foundation. “The results of this year's auction are critical to supporting the scholarship program which has enjoyed tremendous popularity among students in the nation's top meat science departments.”

The Meat Industry Suppliers Alliance is governed by an all-volunteer board of directors who take an active role in the review and selection of scholarship winners. For more information on the Meat Industry Supplier Alliance contact David Seckman at 703-663-1200 or dseckman@fpsa.org.
