Ternary, an all-in-one linear system from alpha, merges mechanics with intelligence, integrating electronics, precision mechanics, feedback, control and software. The linear actuator is suitable in situations where a pneumatic cylinder isn't enough and a servo is too expensive and complicated. This system allows multiple positions to be controlled with precision and offers compact size, strength, intelligence and precision, says the company. All units can be used on a Profibus DP, CanOpen or DeviceNet fieldbus where both parallel and serial control facilitate simultaneous starting.
