Portable and sanitary, Helix conveyors are available up to 40 ft. in length and can be equipped with hoppers ranging from 31/2 to 50 cubic feet capacity. The conveyors feature variable-speed controllers to adjust output, and a built-in acceleration ramp function provides smooth start-ups under full load. An in-feed, low-level sensor monitors the amount of material in the receiving hopper and automatically stops the conveyor given a low-level condition. Other features include stainless-steel washdown-duty motors and gear reducers and a UHMW polyethylene food-grade casing.
