Designed to measure the flow of bulk solids materials on conveyor belts and monitor speed, K-TEK’s LM2D real-time laser scanner is a non-contact alternative to traditional belt scales. Incorporating a non-contact belt speed sensor with Doppler radar to measure conveyor speed, the scanner has an on-board microprocessor that uses information from the scanning head to calculate volume and mass throughput. A plug-and-play device, the scanner requires no calibration. Data can be sent to other devices using the standard 4-20mA interface; separate outputs are provided for flow, cross-sectional area and speed.
