Certified for use in applications including AGVs, forklifts, robots and other items of moving equipment found in industrial facilities, the IDEC SE2L safety laser scanner includes a master/slave functionality that allows it to act as the master and communicate with up to 3 other scanners. Able to scan 2 adjacent zones simultaneously and independently, the unit provides a standard 270° arc of protection at a distance up to 20 meters; the protection area can be configured into any pattern, with up to 3 different zones of protection in each. Certified for use in Safety Category 3, Performance Level d (PLd) and Safety Integrity Level 2 (SIL2) applications, the scanner is housed in an IP65 enclosure.
