Woodex-Meco’s OFS (outside face seal) features a patented single-face seal design for use on top-entry vacuum mixers. Radial shaft misalignment, inaccessibility, flotation or thermal growth can cause mixers to leak, but - unlike packed glands - the OFS can handle both axial shaft motion and 6 mm or more of shaft run-out, allowing it to contain a high degree of vacuum as well as process vapors.
