Danfoss’ VLT series high-power variable frequency drives facilitate ease-of-use by sharing a common platform with smaller Danfoss drives. Features include DC-link reactors to reduce harmonics without external AC line reactors, DC-link fuses that provide independent protection of inverters and coated PCBs for extra protection in potentially corrosive environments. The drives have a cooling design that utilizes a ducted back channel to pass cooling air over heat sinks, with minimal air passing through the electronics area. VLT series F1 frame model drives deliver power up to 1,050 hp; F2 frame models deliver power up to 1,350 hp.
