KTI-Keene Technology offers two automatic splicers built for the packaging industry – the LT Series Zero-Speed butt splicer and the BK Series packaging splicer. The company says both units eliminate downtime for roll changes, reduce material waste and improve the overall efficiency of the packaging operation. The LT unit features a linear turret design that offers good web alignment and permits easy splice preparation. The BK unit’s roll-on/no snag splice seals the leading edge of the splice, preventing a tear out while passing through the forming process.
