Applied Vision’s KromaKing MLI color vision system is designed to detect mixed labels on beverage can production lines. The system is self-training and detects mixed labels automatically. It detects rogue cans in a specific production run, initially self-learning the label colors of a set run of cans on-line. The system then compares those labels to the cans in the production run. While self-training, it learns the normal variations of the production run. It continuously learns every good can that passes through its inspection station to help minimize false rejects caused by normal process variation. The system features digital camera technology, automatic operation and solid-state lighting.
