MPE’s LPP 6.5 laboratory/pilot Granu-U-Lizer grinds material to a narrow particle size distribution with few unwanted “fines,” and minimizes impact and heat generation during the process. Compact in size, it is suitable for achieving results at the roller grinder standard in the lab and at a pilot plant scale. The gap between the grinding rolls can be adjusted to 0.0005-in. accuracy with a gap adjustment handle located on the side of the unit. A drive control for each roll allows independent adjustment of roll speeds and the corresponding shear ratio between the roll surfaces. Roll corrugation sizes and shapes are tailored for each application.
