S+S Inspection’s Raycon product inspection system uses a low-power X-ray source to provide image processing at high throughput speeds. Designed for final inspection of packaged products including aluminum-coated or metallized film packaging, it detects metallic and non-metallic product contamination and identifies missing, broken or underweight product with a weighing accuracy of +/-1%. Simultaneous inspection of diverse products and packages does not require resetting the system; valid products laying diagonally across the belt or out of position do not trigger a false reject. The stainless steel housing is sealed to IP65; the built-in touch screen LCD monitor is sealed to IP66. Four models of the system are available to accommodate products up to 400mm wide and 200mm high.
