Now compatible with the HART communication protocol, General Monitors’ TS4000H toxic gas detector offers protection against a range of hazardous industrial gases and can safeguard against oxygen deficiency. The HART protocol allows access to device configuration, diagnostics and maintenance and alarm records. The detector features event logs, an LED and an indicator for remaining sensor life. All the electronics are contained within an explosion-proof housing. The interface module’s galvanically isolated design supports sensor field replacement without special tools or hot work permits. The detector can self-calibrate by activating a magnetic switch and applying gas. Certified for use in SIL 2 environments, it complies with ATEX, CSA, CE and GOST. The detector is also available in a Modbus configuration and with three 8-amp relays.
