After label formats are downloaded from a computer, the Tharo standalone label printing station can be taken to another location to perform a variety of software functions using a keyboard with no computer attached; label formats, graphics and databases are downloaded to the printer’s flash memory or a compact flash card. Using the keyboard, operators can input data, specify the number of labels to print and merge database information. Formats downloaded to the flash memory cannot be altered without re-attaching the printer to a PC.
