The primary component of an integrated, closed-loop intelligent cooling system, the Frigel Ecodry 3DK closed-loop liquid cooler provides clean water to industrial processes and eliminates chemical discharges and waterborne diseases such as Legionella. Housed outside a food processing facility, it uses heat exchangers and an adiabatic chamber to cool water circulated to it from process machines. The adiabatic chamber pre-cools ambient air on hotter days before it enters the unit’s heat exchanger compartment. Cooled water is then recirculated to the facility’s process machines. A microprocessor-based controller automatically maintains cooling temperatures.
