General mills announced last week that it will close manufacturing facilities in Chicago and Joplin, MO.
The Minnesota-based multinational food manufacturer said it made a preliminary decision to close a cereal, meal and snack products facility in West Chicago. A plant closure, which would close mid-calendar year 2017, would impact approximately 500 employees.
