Featuring telecentric lenses, the CI Vision empty bottle inspection system verifies that neck threads are completely formed and not notched, inspects the sealing surface of the neck for planarity and detects molding flash. An overhead camera inspects for choked neck openings and ovality of the neck opening. The telecentric lenses enable inspection of bottles where the shape varies from the distance of the neck and the camera, depending on the bottle’s orientation on the conveyor. The system can also inspect the bottle sidewalls and bottom for embedded particulate contamination and blisters and bubbles in material.
