Fonterra Co-operative Group appointed Giovanna “Gigi” Vita to the position of president, Fonterra North America.

McDonald’s Corporation named Steve Easterbrook as its executive vice president and global chief brand officer. He served as president and CEO of McDonald’s United Kingdom and president of Europe’s Northern Division.

TSG Consumer Partners, a private equity investor, is selling Don Miguel Mexican Foods Corp. to MegaMex Foods, LLC, a joint venture between Hormel Foods Corporation and Herdez Del Fuerte, S.A. de CV.

Food Marketing Institute (FMI) promoted Patrick J. Walsh to senior vice president, industry relations, education and research.

ITW Food Equipment Group appointed Chris O’Herlihy as its president, food equipment group worldwide.

Two Denali Ingredients, LLC’s manufacturing facilities in New Berlin, WI received Level 2 Safe Quality Food (SQF) certification from the SQF Institute.

Diamond Foods received GMA’s 2010 CPG Award for Innovation and Creativity during GMA’s Executive Conference. The processor was honored for its Project Underdog effort.

Marta Blecharz has joined Lawrence Foods as quality assurance manager.

Four Cargill corn milling North America locations-Blair, NE; Cedar Rapids, IA; Eddyville, IA; and Wahpeton, ND-earned the US Environmental Protection Agency’s Energy Star, the national symbol for protecting the environment through energy efficiency.

Key Technology appointed Jeff Nickerson as product marketing manager for marketing all of its product lines and Steve Johnson as product marketing manager for the company’s process systems line of products.
