Designed for use in filling machines for meat, dairy, poultry and fruit juice, Heraeus’ BlueLight UV disinfection modules have flat emitters that directly deliver more than 50% of the UV power to the surface being irradiated. The modules’ increased width and 8-10 lamps allow a wider configuration of foils to be treated. Electrical connections are maintained on one side to keep the area of treatment around the workspace clear of additional cables and hoses. A quartz window fitted with a breakage detector provides increased safety on a production line; should a breakage occur in the window, a signal from the breakage detector stops the production process.
