Molson Inc.plans to build a $35 million brewery in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. The facility, which will be complete in January 2007, will feature bottling and keg lines and have the flexibility for a future installation of a canning line. Brewing capacity for several of Molson's core brands, such as Coors Light, will be more than 6 million 12-packs annually.



A recently completed 65,000-sq.-ft., $43 million addition to Campbell Soup Co.'s Napoleon, OH, beverage plant includes two new flexible production lines, which will be used to produce Campbell's V8 vegetable juice drinks in plastic, single- and multi-serve containers.

Tropical Beverage, a producer and distributor of value-added water-based products, is building a water testing facility in Santa Ana, CA. The new facility will include a $500,000 electron microscope that will be used to analyze the molecular structure of the altered water the company plans to develop.

Maple Leaf Bakery will spend $12.3 million to add nearly 44,000 sq. ft. and a new production line to its Roanoke, VA, facility. A 10-year contract with Quiznos Sub to produce white and wheat sub rolls necessitated the addition.

A new 40,000-sq.-ft. production facility and corporate headquarters is being built in Leavenworth, KS, by Cereal Ingredients, Inc. The new plant will double existing processing capacity and provide the foundation for future expansions.
