Delavan Spray Technologies' SDX V spray drying nozzle features an internal design intended to reduce pressure loss through the nozzle. It delivers a hollow cone spray pattern of uniform particle size at low temperatures and uses free-vortex swirl chamber technology. The company says the atomization quality is similar to that of conventional slotted-type nozzles at lower operating pressures, which may extend pump life. Flow rates are certified to within ±5% of rated capacity at 1,000 psi, and operating temperatures and pressures can be as high as 700+
