Prater Industries' SuperTwin spiral mixer mixes pellets, gelatin, pet foods and granular materials for food applications. It is suitable for mixing base material with additives. The mixer uses two augers, operating at different speeds, to mix material vertically upward, vertically downward and across the flow between the augers. A drop-bottom clean-out is standard and helps ensure that no material is left in the mixer after operation. Other standard equipment includes a fully enclosed discharge with a positive action slide gate and two observation windows.
