Domnick Hunter’s Maxigas nitrogen gas generators employ the pressure swing adsorption method of non-cryogenic gas generation, utilizing plant compressed air that is filtered and dried through a dessicant air dryer and then passed through a carbon molecular sieve (CMS) bed. The CMS adsorbs oxygen molecules while nitrogen molecules pass through and are regenerated. The generators are suitable for packaging snack foods, edible oils, coffee and nuts, and may also be used for wine bottling applications and controlled atmosphere storage.
