Containing up to 20% post-consumer recycled PET, Invista’s Polyclear Conserve PET polyester polymer features above average color and clarity. Made of bottle-grade recycled PET flake reduced back to its pre-polymer feedstock, it is processed to reduce contamination including dirt and other foreign particulates that may be present when recycled PET is sourced from a conventional regrinding process. Suitable for use in container applications including bottled water, carbonated soft drinks, juices, sports drinks, teas and food products, the polymer complies with the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act for certain food contact applications. It can be reclaimed in PET recycling chains and can be reprocessed into the post-consumer PET recycling stream multiple times.
