Mocon’s OpTech O2 Platinum oxygen analyzer uses a fluorescence-based system to measure total package integrity of rigid and flexible beverage packages. The platinum gives off light in an amount directly related to the amount of oxygen present in a package; the fluorescence can then be read optically for nondestructive permeation analysis, headspace and dissolved oxygen analysis, and leak determination. Coupled with a bar code and scanner, the analyzer can be used to measure and report O2 stability at various points in the distribution channel.
