Designed for automated food and beverage processing, packaging and materials handling applications, the Baumer SmartReflect photoelectric light barrier operates without a separate reflector or receiver to identify the correct positioning of items to be packaged. It creates a closed light beam between the sensor and any background to detect target objects regardless of color, shape, transparency or surface texture. The unit is available in IP69K-rated hygienic or washdown models; as standard-sized sensors with plastic housings; or with a miniature sensor housing.
