Engineered to handle a variety of bottles, as well as non-round and unstable containers, the Standard-Knapp bottle laner distributes bottles from a single-file line to multiple lanes; it can also redistribute 2 lanes into 3 or more, if required. A sensor counts each bottle or container that passes through the unit to ensure each downsteam lane receives an equal quantity. When the laner is stopped, a brake rail applies slight side pressure to keep bottles and containers in the upright position. The laner can be integrated with a case packer or used as a free-standing unit.
