Frozen seafood producer Gorton’s is cutting down its list of ingredients and will introduce new, cleaner recipes for all the brand’s products by the end of 2017.
Beginning in the next two months, the company will roll out the first nine simplified product recipes. Company chefs worked to find simpler replacements for existing ingredients, while ensuring the taste and quality of the products are maintained or improved. Gorton’s representatives say they fully support the change and are excited to put the focus on the company’s fresh, quality ingredients, though they say the decision to commit to full recipe changes was influenced in part by consumer preferences for simpler, natural ingredients.
