The Endress+Hauser Smartec CLD18 toroidal conductivity transmitter has a food-safe PEEK toroidal sensor, potted electronics and a NEMA Type 6P/IP69K stainless steel or plastic housing that withstands clean-in-place operations. The transmitter uses an inductive conductivity measurement technique, with an oscillator that produces an alternating magnetic field in the primary coil and induces current flow in the fluid. Typical applications include monitoring the separation of product/water mixtures, liquid concentration, separation in cleaning return lines, industrial water, rinsing processes in pickling plants and product interface detection in beverage filling supply lines.
