The 500,000-sq. ft. Cagle processing complex in Perry, GA went to Perdue Farms in a recent acquisition. Perdue will use the recently renovated plant to produce fresh and frozen products at one location. The purchase price for the plant was $45 million.

Loeb Equipment & Appraisal coordinated the sale of Nestle's Fulton, NY, plant to capital Ventures and Lion Capital Management Group. The plant will be used to create chocolate for the Fulton Chocolate Co. and the New York Chocolate and Confection Co.

To support its first entry into the salty snack-food market, Graham Packaging Co. opened a new plant in Mexicali, Mexico. The company supplies high-density polyethylene rigid canisters for Frito-Lay's new Lay's Stax potato crisps.

DSC Logistics is partnering with Unilever Bestfoods to manage the company's regional supply chain operations. DSC plans to open a logistics center for Unilever's products in Joliet, IL to provide order fulfillment, small parcel management, module building and lot and batch control. The 700,000-sq. ft. facility is expected to open July.
