Rupari Food Services Inc. will build a 60,000-sq.-ft. production/cold storage facility that will double employment at its Cook County, IL site. The project, valued at $12.5 million, also includes a 10,000-sq.-ft. expansion/renovation of the company’s RTE production area, which is expected to increase cooking capacity from 20 million to 50 million pounds per year.



Pepperidge Farm will expand its Lakeland, FL facility to meet increasing demand in the Southeast. The 320,000-sq.-ft. expansion will house a new bread line, increasing the plant’s production capacity by 31 million loaves annually. A summer 2008 startup is anticipated, adding 45 new jobs.



Sargento Foods is planning a second major expansion (60,000 sq. ft.) to its existing Kiel, WI production facility. The plant was expanded by 40,000 sq. ft. in 2000. The company expects to create 100 new jobs at its 40-acre site over the next three to five years.



Sartori Foods, Plymouth, WI-based cheese producer, plans to build a state-of-the-art converting facility in Plymouth’s new South Industrial Park. The $15 million investment will let the company provide creative packaging and customized solutions to its customers.



According to the Plymouth, WI Chamber of Commerce, Masters Gallery Foods, another Wisconsin cheese maker, will build an $8 million addition to its Plymouth packaging and distribution facility, expanding the company’s ability to provide products to customers nationwide.
