Accurate delivery and weighing Several bulk handling systems were specified for the accurate delivery and weighing of materials for the manufacture of candy. Bulk materials are transferred to an elevated load cell hopper, and then discharged into a mixer. A control system monitors the load cells using digital weight indicators. After all the materials for a recipe have been added and mixed, they are discharged into a storage hopper. From there they are conveyed to a second load cell hopper, where the load cells and digital weight indicators allow precise control of the production process.
