BD Diagnostic Systems offers BBL CHROMagar Salmonella, a chromogenic selective and differential medium for the presumptive identification of Salmonella species in foods. The formulation allows Salmonella species to produce mauve colonies that are easily differentiated from other bacteria including coliforms, which may resemble Salmonella on other traditional media.
