VersaCold Corporation will expand its 4.7-million-cu.-ft. freezer Dawson facility in Winnipeg, MB.  The $24 million contract was given to Primus Builders, Inc. (Woodstock, GA). 



Nebraska-based Affiliated Foods Midwest Cooperative Inc. will expand its distribution center in Kenosha, WI.  The $99 million facility will provide 731,000 sq.ft.  of space and will serve grocery stores across the Midwest, including 25 in Wisconsin. 



Kenosha, WI will also see the construction of a $50 million distribution center for Gordon Food Service. Gordon is a food service distributor and operator of 127 GFS Marketplace stores.



Dr. Pepper Snapple Group Inc. will open a production and distribution center in Victorville, CA. The $120 million facility is expected to employ 200 people and will become the company’s Eastern hub serving California and parts of the Southwest.  The plant will consist of an 850,000-sq.-ft. building on 57 acres, including 550,000 sq.ft. of warehouse space and 300,000 sq.ft. dedicated to manufacturing with up to six production lines. Construction is expected to begin in October and be complete in 2010.



Stellar Inc. has completed the construction of two warehouses and is currently constructing another for Dot Foods, a major food redistribution company.  A new 170,000-sq.-ft. distribution facility consisting of a dry warehouse, ammonia refrigeration plant, machine room and loading dock was built in Cambridge, IN. In Williamsport, MD, 106,672 sq.ft. was added to Dot’s existing facility to accommodate customers in the mid-Atlantic region. Dot’s 139,000-sq.-ft. warehouse in Burely, ID will serve the Pacific Northwest and should be completed this summer.
