Processing up to 400 difficult-to-label 2- to 64-oz. containers/min., the PDC R-300C-TSCB shrink sleeve labeler handles a variety of package configurations, including containers with no taper, thermoformed packs with “flashing,” twin packs and a range of rigid packages. The unit orients products in dual counter-rotating timing screws, and then hands them off to servo-controlled gripper belts that decelerate the product during application and re-accelerates it back to conveyor speed for release to the shrink tunnel. The labeler can be used with 1.25- to 1.5-mil and 30- to 40-micron films and all mono-axial, sustainable and freezer-grade shrink sleeve films. Standard features include a stainless steel frame, upstream photo-eyes, material monitoring sensors and an Allen Bradley CompactLogix PLC platform.
