Gifford’s Famous Ice Cream will expand its Skowhegan, ME facility by 3,810 sq. ft. to meet increased demand. The $1.6 million expansion will add floor space, two steam kettles, a quart filler and a shrink wrapper.

Skally’s Old World Bakery, a maker of bagels and pita bread, plans to invest $40 million to build a 350,000-sq.-ft. production facility in West Harrison, IN.

ConAgra Foods is spending $13 million to expand its Slim Jim smokehouse facilities in Troy, OH by 10,000 sq. ft. The processor will also purchase production equipment.
