GEA S-Tec spiral freezers feature a control system that calibrates the freezer parameters through the measurement of the level of frozenness of the product at the freezer exit. The control system continuously monitors the level of crystalized water in the products and adjusts the retention time, air temperature and fan speed to achieve the precise level of freezing required. Pure horizontal airflow provides temperature distribution across all products wherever they are in the spiral. Suitable for food applications that require capacities up to 6,000 kg./hr., the freezers are available in a variety of enclosure and floor types, single- or twin-drum configurations, and infeed/outfeed and CIP options.
