Mountain Mel’s Essential Goods recalled three types of herbal tea for possible salmonella contamination. The products used fennel seed recalled by Mountain Rose Herbs in Oregon.

Mountain Mel’s, of Welches, Oregon, sold the tea online through its website, Azure Standard natural foods and Amazon. The company distributed the tea in its home state and Washington through New Seasons Market.

The recalled varieties are The Milk Lady’s Tea (LOT# ML6271950), Peaceful Baby Herbal Tea (LOT# PB781950) and Diges-Teas Herbal Tea (LOT # DT7619100).

The teas come in tall, thin containers with 2 ounces and have a best by date listed as 7/2021. The Milk Lady’s Herbal Tea Blend, UPC 7 99632 05658 4, has a purple label. Peaceful Baby Herbal Tea Blend, UPC 7 99632 05656 0, has a blue label. Diges-Teas Herbal Tea Blend, UPC 7 99632 05665 2, has a brown label.

No illnesses had been reported at the time of the recall announcement.
