Ross double planetary mixers with a slightly tilted configuration are used in the preparation of pastes, gels, granulations and free-flowing dried powder blends. An air/oil hydraulic lift raises and lowers the stirrers into the removable vacuum-rated mix can. During mixing, a glass sight/charge port and tank light on the vacuum hood allow the operator to check on the batch and add raw materials without interrupting the agitation.
