The GEA HVF-series impingement freezer has high-velocity air jets that lower the outer-layer temperature of food, reducing dehydration and cellular damage. It is available with 2 parallel belts that operate independently from each other for inline freezing with adjustable belt speed and 2-direction conveying; standard length modules are fully pre-assembled. An optional reduced volume system improves refrigerant distribution in the evaporators. Manufactured for products with a high surface area-to-weight ratio, the freezer can be used for hamburger patties and other flat products as well as crust freezing.
