PA State Senate to consider GMO labeling bill
The bill is similar to California's failed Proposition 37.

PA State Sen. Daylin Leach has introduced legislation that would require labeling of all genetically engineered food in the state. There is no federal legislation in the US regarding genetically engineered foods, but 61 other countries require labeling. Leach said he was concerned over the lack of information available to consumers, saying, “I’ve introduced this bill not to ban genetically engineered foods, but to allow consumers to choose which items they purchase.”
