Engineered for general purpose mixing, powder wet-out, particle size reduction, solubilization, emulsification and homogenization, Ross inline high-shear mixers feature a 4-blade rotor running within a close-tolerance, fixed stator at tip speeds in the range of 3,000-4,000 ft./min.; ultra-high shear models run at tip speeds over 11,000 ft./min. The mixers create mechanical and hydraulic shear by continuously drawing product components into the rotor and expelling them radially through the openings in the stator. Typically installed as part of a recirculation loop, the mixers can pump many low- to medium-viscosity products without the need for an auxiliary pump.
