Chicago Vegan Foods moved to a new 25,000-sq.-ft., SQF-certified facility with an automation system designed in house to produce marshmallows and other vegan foods. 

Freshpet broke ground on a $100 million expansion to its Bethlehem (Hanover Township), Pa., operation. The expansion includes a renovation of its 50,000-sq.-ft. innovation center and an additional 90,000 sq. ft. for processing operations.

Ben E. Keith, a food and beverage distribution company, plans to build a new $100 million, 425,000-sq.-ft. DC in New Brockton, Ala.

Blue Diamond Growers is expanding its bulk receiving warehouse in Salida, Calif., making room for an additional 50 million pounds of almond meat. The facility will begin operation in late 2020.

Aurochemicals, a Washingtonville, N.Y., supplier of natural food flavors, added 22,000 sq. ft. to its original 54,000-sq.-ft. operations. The $3 million expansion includes $500,000 for additional equipment.

Freshly opened its 171,000-sq.-ft. facility in Savage, Md., to handle food processing and distribution.
