New voice emerges in the debate over genetically modified foods

Pro-GMO labeling group GMO Inside has urged Kellogg’s and General Mills to label or remove genetically engineered ingredients in their products. Ingredients such as added sugars, soy and corn found in most cereals fall under that category. The group has initiated an action campaign and has urged the public to sign a petition, post on social media and call the companies. The group also hopes to discourage Kellogg’s and General Mills from contributing to opposition to I-522, the Washington State GMO labeling initiative.
