IDFA, food groups support reform of renewable fuel standard
A bill introduced in the US house of representatives would cut back on corn-based ethanol.
A coalition of 12 food groups including International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA) expressed support for reforming the renewable fuel standard. The “Renewable Fuel Standard Reform Act”, introduced in the House of Representatives, would bar corn-based ethanol from being used to meet the renewable fuel standard and reduce the size of the standard by around 40 percent over nine years.
