Florida tomato growers file lawsuit over tomato floor prices

Florida tomato growers have filed a lawsuit alleging that floor prices included in a March agreement between the Department of Commerce and Mexican tomato growers were too low. The deal suspended an ongoing anti-dumping duty investigation while raising the floor prices on imported tomatoes. The lawsuit, filed in the US Court of International Fair Trade, says the agreement does not comply with “federal laws designed to ensure fair trade on imported goods.”
