Conducting thorough food plant inspections is a vital part of any viable food safety program. It completes the other half of the equally important auditing process. Inspections verify that the programs developed by the facility meet the requirements by providing a detailed probe of on-floor food safety practices. This critical program is a vital element needed to fulfill a food plant’s obligation to always be in a preventive role to avoid food safety issues.

Inspecting food plants is an acquired practice learned from those with years of experience. What makes someone an exceptional inspector? Why do they look certain places and find an issue? Learn from AIB inspectors’ years of experience to get a true jump start on inspecting your plant with the level of detail needed to find issues lurking beneath the surface.
